VRS Postures: BenchPress






Muscles: Triceps, Deltoids, and Pectorals

Instructions:





  1. Lie on the bench, feet should be comfortably planted on the floor.

  2. Hold hands on barbell, slightly more than shoulder width apart.

  3. Lift the bar from the rests, lower slowly to the chest. DO NOT lay the bar on the chest or bounce the bar off the chest.







  1. Lift the bar slowly, and fully extend the arms

  2. Repeat




Cautions: Avoid arching the back. A spotter may be necessary when weight is heavy. It is very difficult to back out of the exercise if one is unable to raise the bar off the chest.
